Hoogie rolls ( Sams Club)
Sliced Japanese cucumber
Romaine lettuce leaves
Kim chee
Cilantro, chopped or whole sprigs (optional)
Pickled carrot/turnip (optional) Don't have, no worries
Hoogie rolls need to be warned in an oven to make the outer crust crunchy and inside soft. Toaster oven works great. 300 degrees for 5-7 minutes.
Slice bread lengthwise. Just cut enough bread to allow boogie to open and not separate into halves.
Place kimchee, romaine lettuce leaf and cucumber slices and pickled veggies. Placing kim chee on bread first allows kimchee sauce to soak into bread.
Close bread making sure all veggies fit in the bun.
