Beef Stroganoff


1.5 lb. Chuck Roast beef, sliced

1/2 Round Onion, sliced

2 cup Mushrooms, sliced

2 clove garlic, minced

2 Tbsp. butter

2 Tbsp. flour

1/2 cup red wine

15 ounce beef broth

1/2 cup, 1/2 &1/2 cream

1/2 cup sour cream

salt and pepper to taste


1. In a cast iron or stainless steel skillet, heat a small amount of oil. Season beef with salt and pepper. Saute beef in skillet.

2. Continue to cook beef throughly until liquid from meat reduces.

3. Remove meat and set aside

4. Place butter in pan and saute mushrooms and onions, till translucent.

5. Add flour to create a roux. Stir

6. Add wine and beef broth.

7. Heat and stir until sauce thickens. Add 1/2 and 1/2 cream and sour cream.

8. Add beef back in , season to taste. 

9. Serve over Egg Pasta noodles.
