
Brownies
1 cup flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup melted margarine or butter
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease and flour a 8 X8 inch baking pan. Use non-stick spray and dust with
flour.
3. In a mixing bowl combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
4. Using a french whip, whisk eggs, sugar, vanilla and margarine in another mixing
bowl.
5. Combine dry ingredients with egg mixture, using a wooden spoon
6. Using a rubber scrapper, pour batter into greased and floured baking pan,
7. Bake for 15 -20 minutes. When testing for doneness, toothpick should have
alittle or no batter on it. Brownies are usually moist and dense in texture.
It is better to take the brownies out earlier or right at time of doneness, in order to
not dry it out.
8. Let cool in pan. Cut into even pieces . Brownies may be dusted with powdered sugar.
