
Butter Rolls
2 cups warm water
1 pkg. yeast (or equivalant) little less than 1 Tbsp.
2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 egg
6 1/2 to 7 cups A.P. or bread flour
PAM , (butter flavored) spray for baking pans
1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine yeast, sugar, salt, egg, and 3 cups of flour 1 cup at a
time. Thoroughly mix for about 2 minutes.
3. Add melted butter and mix in remaining flour gradually, 1 cup at a time.
Finished dough should be soft and able to be kneaded with little dusted flour.
4. Knead in bowl, turn on to dusted counter and knead for about a minute more.
5. Spray bottom of another clean bowl with PAM. Place dough in bowl cover with
damp cloth and let rise until double in volume.
6. Let rise, punch down. Rise, punch down about 3 times before shaping.
This will take about 5 hrs.
7. Spray pans with lots of PAM. Shape dough into balls and place in pans.
Spray tops with PAM or drizzle melted butter. Let rise until double in volume.
Take about 1/2 hr.
8. Bake at 425 for 15-20 minutes

Bread Machine Butter Rolls
1 cups warm water
1 1/2 tsp. yeast
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 egg
3 1/2 to 4 cups A.P. or bread flour
PAM , (butter flavored) spray for baking pans
All ingredients are to placed in bread machine canister.
1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
2. Add yeast, sugar, salt, egg, Start machine set to "dough making".
While ingredients are mixing, add 3 cups of flour 1 cup at a time.
3. Add melted butter and mix in remaining flour gradually. Add additional flour
1/4 cup at a time until the dough is no longer sticky.
Finished dough should be soft and able to be touched without sticking to finger.
Let dough rise in machine until cycle is done. Knead dough in machine once more before removing and final shaping.
7. Spray pans with lots of PAM. Shape dough into balls and place in pans.
Spray tops with PAM or drizzle melted butter. Let rise until double in volume.
Take about 1/2 hr.
8. Bake at 425 for 15-20 minutes
