Clam Chowder
 
Ingredients
 
2 cups milk
1 can minced clams
3 stripes of bacon (minced)
1/2 round onion (minced)
2 medium potatoes ( peeled and diced 1/2 inch cubes)
1/4 cup butter ( 1/2 stick)
salt and to taste
2 Tbsp. flour mixed with 1/4 cup milk, for thickening agent
   Stir well to eliminate lumps.
 
 
Directions:
1. In a medium size sauce pan, brown minced bacon till crisp, drain fat .
 
2. Add butter, clams and juice , onions,  and potatoes.
 
3. Turn heat to medium and add milk, continue stirring to prevent milk
    from burning. 
 
4. Let simmer on low, until potatoes are done. Potatoes will be soft and
    break easy.
 
5. When potatoes are soft, thicken with milk/flour mixture. Salt and
    pepper to taste.
