Curry Quinoa Brown rice  


2 cups Quinoa

1 cup Brown Rice

2 Tsp. Curry powder

1 tsp. Tumeric

1/2 tsp. Cumin

1 tsp. Garlic salt

2 Tbsp. butter

1 15 oz. can whole corn, drained

1 15 oz. can Black beans, drained

1  can sliced black olives, drained 6.5 oz dry weight

1/4 cup chopped cilantro

1/4 cup chopped green onions



1. Place quinoa and brown rice in a rice pot. Rinse once and fill water line up to 3 cup mark.

2. Add the other ingredients and stir to mix.

3. Cook in rice cooker until done.

4. When done, unplug cooker and stirs contents. Allow to cool in a large bowl.

5. When cooled add Drained ingredients, corn, beans, sliced olives

6. Add cilantro and green onions

7. Combine all ingredients. Stored in covered container. Place in refrigerator until ready to eat. 

8. Use as a side dish to Grilled salmon, BBq chicken, Seared Steak.
