
Fried Tofu Poke
1 block extra firm tofu, cut into 1" cubes
1-2 Tbsp. Sesame oil
1 Tbsp. Shoyu
1/4 cup slice round onion
1/4 cup chopped green onion
1/2 cup julienne pink kamaboku (Japanese fishcake)
Chili pepper flakes
1/4 tsp. garlic powder (optional)
1 tsp. Dashi
Canola oil to fry tofu
1. Place cut tofu on paper towels to absorb excess water.
2. Heat enough oil to cover tofu cubes, in a small wok or sauce pan.
3. Fry tofu in hot oil till light to golden brown. Remove to a paper towel lined pan to soak up oil. Frying tofu will not splatter very much.
4. Let tofu cool.
5. In a mixing bowl, place tofu and add remaining ingredients. Mix, taste and adjust flavor.
6. Refrigerate, serve cold.
