
Pan Lasagna
Ingredients:
10 lasagna noodles, broken in half
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
15 oz. spaghetti sauce (refer to recipe below)
3/4 lb ground beef
1. In a medium sauce pan cook noodles in boiling water, until
al dente or tender. Drain and set aside.
2. In a bowl, mix together cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and set aside.
3. In another saucepan, brown ground beef and garlic. Add spaghetti
sauce(recipe at bottom) to meat mixture, simmer over medium for a few
minutes.
4. In a skillet put a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of the pan. Put one layer of noodles. Repeat ending with sauce. (at least 4-5 layers)
5. Spread cheese mixture on the top. Do not mix it in just spread it on.
6. Reduce heat to low and let cook for 5 minutes.
7. To brown cheeses, place skillet under broiler and broil till cheese is
brown.
8. Remove from broiler and let cool for 5-10 minutes. This will allow the
lasagna to solidify and it will be easier to serve and eat.
Sauce for Lasagna
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
6 oz. water (use tomato paste can)
1/2 can 14.5oz. stewed tomatoes, (approx. 7 oz.)
1 clove garlic
1 Tbsp. Olive oil
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. Parmesan Cheese
1. Combine all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Sauce will be cooked
along with meat and noodles.
