Penny Surprise

Lettuce/ RicePaper Wrap


1-2 lbs Ground pork

1 cup soaked , minced Shiitake Mushroom

1 cup soaked, minced Woodear fungus

1 can Bamboo shoots, minced

1/2 cup green Onion, chopped

1 can water Chestnuts, minced


Seasoning

2 Tbsp. Sesame seed oil

1 Tbsp. Shoyu

2 Tbsp. Oyster sauce

1 Tbsp. Hoisin sauce (optional)

1/3 cup water + 2 Tbsp. cornstarch slurry


1. In a medium sauce pan, brown the ground pork till well cooked. 

2. Drain any excess fat/liquid.

3. Add all minced/chopped ingredients and saute till heated through.

4. Add all seasoning ingredients, continue to saute.

5. Add cornstarch slurry to thicken and hold mixture together.


Serving Suggestions

Using romaine lettuce leaf and hydrated rice paper wrapper. Create a lettuce wrap, like a summer roll.


Use Romaine lettuce leaf and tortilla wrap to create a Chinese style wrap.


Serve over hot rice,
