
Pork Adobo Recipe
Ingredients
- 2-3 lbs. porkbutt, cut into serving pieces
- 3 pieces dried bay leaves
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar sugar
- cooking oil for searing meat
- 1/2 Tbsp. whole peppercorn
Instructions
- In a large pot heat oil and sear meat on all sides till brown.
- Place remaining ingredients with meat and bring to a simmer.
- Cover and simmer for about an hour or until the meat is fork tender.
- Sauce may be thickened with a corn starch/water mixture.
- Chicken adobo can also be made by using the same ingredients. Just leave out the Pork :)
- Serve over rice and garnish with Cilantro.
