
Pork and Fu Jook
Ingredients
2 lbs Pork butt or shoulder
2 large carrots cut in large chunks
Wood Ear fungus, soaked and cut into 1 inch thick pieces
1 package Fu Jook soaked and cut into 1 inch pieces
Bamboo shoots (optional) sliced
Seasoning for meat
1 Tbsp. Sesame oil
1 Tbsp. shoyu
1 Tbsp. Corn Starch
2 tsp. baking soda
Sauce
1 cup water
1 Tbsp. Chicken Powder ( Lee Kum Kee)
Or i cup chicken broth
2Tbsp. oyster Sauce
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1. Cut pork into 1x2 inch slices
2. Combine pork with meat seasoning. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes
3. Combine all Sauce ingredients and set aside.
4. In a large non stick wok, Saute meat until cook through.
5. Add wood ear, fu jook, carrot and Bamboo shoots. Cook till ingredients are heated through. 5 minutes
6. Add sauce with meat mixture and continue to cook till sauce thickens.
7. Taste and adjust flavor.
