Pot Stickers
 
 
1 lb. ground pork                                                         1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. green onions                                                     2 Tbsp. corn starch
1 tsp. soy sauce                                                           1 Pkg. pot sticker wrappers
2 tsp. sesame seed oil                                                1/2 c. chicken broth or water        
1/2 tsp. sugar                                                                2 Tbsp. vegetable oil for frying
2 c. cabbage, minced
1 Tbsp. ginger, minced fine (optional)
 
 
 
1. Combine pork, green onions, soy sauce, sesame seed oil, sugar, cabbage, ginger, salt and corn starch, in a mixing bowl.
 
2. Place a spoonful of the filling in each wrapper, seal edge with water. Crimp edges shut, forming a ruffled pattern.
 
3. In a hot skillet , heat about 2 Tbsp. of vegetable oil, for frying. Place pot sticker , bottom side down and fry until bottom is golden brown.
 
4. Pour in chicken stock or water and cover with lid. Cook until liquid is absorbed.
