Teriyaki Sauce


1 cup Soy Sauce, (Aloha, Yamasa , Kikoman) Whatever you can get

3/4 cup sugar. If you like sweeter add more sugar.

4 slices of ginger

4 cloves of garlic smashed

1 Tbsp. Sesame oil

1/4 cup chopped green onion


Combine all ingredients in a bowl or bottle.

Mix all ingredients until sugar is completely dissolved. May store in refrigerater for several months. 

To marinate beef or chicken. Place meat in a zip lock bag, pour desired amount of sauce in with meat and seal.

Let marinate at least 2 hours or overnight.

Grill, broil or bake meat.

Used sauce, after marinating, can be heated/simmered and used to drizzle on rice.
